Why don't the A & N Islands belong to Indonesia or Burma?

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands do indeed form a real part of India, for these islands in the Bay of Bengal would also sell thick proximity to Indonesia and Myanmar to question their literal confederations and implicit claims. The islands have been buffeted by two swells of influence from the Southeast Asian fiefdoms, including the Cholas of South India in the 11th century, but sustained control and significant agreement by either Indonesia or Burma never materialized. The establishment of an umbrella between the British East India Company and the late 1800s was to open up trade and nonmilitary governance of the isle. The islets were used to serve as a correctional colony and eventually built up the Cellular Jail (Kala Pani) at Port Blair to house Indian freedom fighters and some of the exiles. Such a social control installed a peering connection of the islets themselves with the Indian treasure, even though it came from British rule. In 1947, on the occasion of gaining independence, India tried to assert its claim over the islands, which were handed over by the British post-independence. India had sought claims over these islands by citing the literal ties developed through social formation and necessity to secure them on this basis. However, no significant claims were made by Indonesia or Burma, nor did they query India’s prerogatives. The control of these islets is, therefore, not exaggerated in terms of India’s strategic imperative as they help strengthen India’s strategic hold at the entrance to Malacca Strait—the world’s busiest shipping lane. This has also gained new significance from the increasing growing concern over China and the Indo-Pacific region. Furthermore, India has a good number of troops stationed on these islands to strengthen its hold over them. Thus, the Andaman and Nicobar islands can inarguable terms be integrated into India’s own fabric, much as they influence and contribute towards the vital security and indigenous influence of the country.
