Red Skin Island is a part of the Mahatma Gandhi Marine national Park and lies just beside the Jolly Buoy Island. You can see the red corals lining the coastal area of the island from which the name ‘red skin’ is derived. The water around the area also appears reddish making it a visual spectacle.
The small island can be reached from Port Blair by ferries or glass boats which are really awesome! No one leaves on the island so you have to make a day trip and come back. You will get modern boats and ferries that can carry even large group of over 100 passengers.

Ferries for Red Skin Island leave from Wandoor beach in Mahatma Gandhi National Park. The place is around 30 kms from Port Blair and our transfer vehicle will comfortably drop you there.
The boats for Red Skin Island leave from Wandoor beach at 8.30 am and 9.30 am. You will have to go and come back by the same ferry after spending some time on the island unless you book a private boat.
You should reach Wandoor beach by 8 in the morning if you are planning to catch the 8:30 am ferry. It is always best to come half hour earlier than your ferry timing to make things easy for you and the staff.
The fare for each person is Rs 1,000 only.
