Sitapur Beach
The Neil Island (now renamed as the Shaheed Dweep) has a bucket full of magnificent beaches to awe the travelers. While the Bharatpur beach is famous for the plethora of water-activities, the Sitapur beach and the Laxmanpur beach are famous for their serenity.
Our comprehensive Andaman and Nicobar Package is a blend of all the beautiful and breathtaking tourism destinations within the island. Not only that, the package also encompasses the local delicacies and an in-hand experience of the Andamanese lifestyle.
About the Destination
Situated at the southernmost point of the Neil island, the Sitapur Beach is one of the calmest beaches. Being located at a corner and away from the local tourist route, the beach does not experience much hubbub. This is the main reason the beach is well-preserved and almost untouched.Â
Dotted with lush greenery along the shoreline, the beach is a perfect destination for talking long, care-free walks. The tropical jungle covering the beach adds to the raw natural beauty. This makes it a fascinating place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. Even though the beach has clear waters, it is not at all suitable for swimming because of the sudden high-tides and strong currents.
The Sitapur beach is officially known as the Sunrise Beach. Thanks to the beach’s location, you can experience majestic views of the rising sun early morning. There are no changing rooms or lifeguards present at the beach as it is not suitable for swimming. The beach is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Since there are no water activities available here, it is usually a place for relaxing amidst your other tours.
The ideal time to visit the beach is early in the morning when you can watch the sunrise. As always, visiting the beach between the months of September to May is a great choice owing to the clear skies and warm ambience. If you are planning to visit this beach, we suggest you opt for our Andaman Holidays Package.
Ways to Reach the Sitapur Beach
Since the beach is not much of a popular tourist destination, not many vehicles traverse the route. For the best experience, we suggest you spend only an hour or so at this beach and move on to the other destinations in the Neil Island. Check with your Andaman Tour Operator for a list of the destinations that you can visit along with the beach.
