Eastern India Hoteliers and Travel Agents Association: Support to Tourism
Eastern India Hoteliers and Travel Agents Association, better known as EIHATA cuts across all boundaries of geography to promote tourism and the hotel industry in the eastern part of the country. The association was formed with the aim to develop fellowship among hoteliers, and travel agents but has significantly turned out to be a wonderful platform for tackling issues in the industry, learning from each other’s best practices, and improving service quality.
Objectives and Initiatives
To encourage the development, the foremost goal of EIHATA is to protect the interests of our members. To bring awareness EIHATA holds many such events including workshops, seminars, and training on a routine basis. These assist members in familiarizing themselves with newer formats of travel and hospitality so that they can offer the best of the best to every single traveler.
Advocacy and Support
One of the EIHATA’s exact missions is that of advocacy. The association communicates with governmental institutions for the purpose of solving regulatory concerns related to the industry of hospitality. Understanding that this vision would be difficult to achieve without synergy of all the players, hoteliers and travel agents resolved to join hands under the auspices of EIHATA for the good of the business environment and development of investment in tourism in eastern India.
Projection of Eastern India
EIHATA has also been at the forefront of promoting the rich culture, landscape, and attractions that the eastern states have to offer. The association aims at showcasing such treasures as Sikkim, the state of scenic beauty to the cultural and festive rich state of West Bengal, both nationally and internationally. Further, these actions are enhanced by working with local authorities and tourist boards.

I had toured Andaman Islands through Andaman Emerald Holidays. Mr. Probin and his team gave me one of the best holidaying experience. My itinerary was custom made and covered almost all attractions like Cove , Ross, Havelock, Neil Islands. Cellular Jail, Sound & Light show. The accommodations were the best and food was like you name it and you get that. Water sports like snorkelling, paragliding & banana rides were amazing and fun. Andaman tour packages are truly value for money. Our driver come guide was really humble. We have visited to all the tourists’ places.
