Andaman Reopens After A Long Break:- 1. COVID-19 Testing SOP for Tourists
On arrival at Port Blair –
The tourists will have to carry a negative COVID-19 report after going through the RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Reaction Chain) test from a mainland-based ICMR approved lab, and the test sample will have to be taken 48 hours before commencing the journey.
A tourist will not have to quarantine himself or herself if the RT-PCR test result is negative.
Andaman Reopens After A Long Break:- For travel to Shaheed Dweep and Swarat Dweep –
A tourist with a negative RT-PCR test report will not have to take any further test.
If any tourist experiences any symptom, the nearest PHC / CHC will have to be informed immediately for subsequent tests on the doctor’s advice.
Until further orders, tourists will not be allowed to travel to the North and Middle Andaman Islands, Nicobar group of islands, and Little Andaman Island.
Andaman Reopens After A Long Break:-If tourists test Positive during the stay –
Institutional isolation will be mandatory according to the health protocols. The government facility’s fixed cost of isolation will have to be settled by the tourist. (The present isolation cost is Rs. 1000/- at ITI Dollygunj COVID ward).
The patient can stay at a hotel too if asymptomatic and if below 60 years of age. In that case, the request should be made in writing by the patient and allowed by the doctor.
Hotels will arrange for institutional isolation by designating some of their rooms.

You will need to keep wearing masks at all public places.
You cannot travel to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands if you are bover 65 years.
At all the entry and exit points, you will have to go through thermal checking and scanning.
With the change in timings and reduction in opening hours, you will have to keep more time in hand for your trip.
Any place will not allow group photography.

Operational flights to Port Blair now are from airlines – Go Air, Spice Jet, Indigo, Vistara, and Air India.Do’s –
Install the Aarogya Setu application on your smartphones.
Keep your hands and surroundings sanitized, keep wearing masks and maintain social distancing (the SMS rule)
Cover yourself up
Make sure you reach the airport 2-3 hours before your flight timing, and that too with a normal body temperature

Do not show up at the airport if you are experiencing any cold-like symptoms
Do not touch any surface without gloves
Do not throw your used tissue papers, gloves, masks or face shields anywhere except the allotted disposal bins
Do not eat in the aircraft (no products will be sold on board, only water bottles will be provided)
