Jolly Buoy Island Ferry Service
Jolly Buoy Island is one of the most amazing islands in the Andamans and a perfect getaway from the crowded Port Blair. The beaches are pristine and the waters crystal blue making it perfect to spot the colourful corals and the diverse marine life.
Whether you are seal walking or scuba diving, you are sure to spot some interesting fish and corals. Boats with glass bottom are also available for hire for coral safari. But apart from that, the place is a nature lover’s paradise as there is nothing much to do.
You will get non-AC ferries and boats that leave from Port Blair and make a day’s journey to Jolly Buoy Island. The area is a no man’s land and you have to come back by 2.30 pm when the last boat leaves the island. No one is allowed to stay on the island beyond that. Ferries take around 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the island from Port Blair.
Jolly Buoy Permit
Andaman Emerald Holidays will make reservations on your behalf and also arrange for the permit and tickets. The area is part of a national marine park and controlled by the forest department. You have to get your permit one day in advance otherwise you are going to miss the ferry which leaves in the morning.
The permit can be arranged by standing in long queues at the Andaman Tourism office in Port Blair after which you have to again wait in line for your tickets. The best way to avoid all troubles is to let Andaman Emerald Holiday arrange your permit and tickets.
You don’t need to stand in any queue or drop a sweat- we will collect your ID proof and arrange everything for the trip. We even provide a knowledgeable guide and transfer vehicle till to and from the boarding point at Port Blair.
Things to Remember

The Andaman Tourism Department will arrange drinking water carrying option for a deposit of Rs 50 which is returned when you give back the container. Also, please refrain from littering or throwing things in the island and try to keep the place clean.
