Speed Boat from Baratang Island to Limestone Caves
Baratang Island is a natural wonder with vast network of mangrove creeks, amazing beaches, mud volcanoes and limestone caves. The island is 100 km from Port Blair and can be reached via road traveling on the Andaman Trunk Road. It falls on the way to Rangat and Mayabunder and the whole journey takes approximately 3 hours in a car.
On the way your vehicle will have to cross a creek on a ferry at Middle Strait. The convey timings are 6 am, 9 am and 12:30 pm.

Speed Boat Ride to Limestone Caves
The speed boats for the limestone caves depart from Nilambur Jetty in Baratang Island. The ride will remain memorable for your life as it passes through dense mangrove creeks giving you ultimate taste of adventure.
After a boat ride of 30 minutes you embark at the Nayadera Jetty. The limestone caves are around 1 km away and you have to walk the distance through lush green tropical forest. At the entrance of the caves you will find a guide who will give you a tour of the cave.
The caves are filled with interesting formation and some of them are too dark and deep! You can explore all you want but preferably with proper guidance.
Limestone Cave Permission
You have to take individual permission to visit the limestone caves from the Forest Department at Baratang. The area is inhabited by tribal groups and entry is restricted without prior authorization.
